Macro Algae

- Upon Arrival:
Remove macro algae from the bag as soon as possible. Gently rinse with clean saltwater or tank water if needed, then place it in your aquarium or refugium promptly.

- Start Low Light:
Begin with lower light levels, especially for red species, since excessive light after shipping can cause pigments to turn pale or green. Increase light intensity gradually over the course of a week.

- Place in Low Flow:
Start in a low-flow area to prevent damage and allow the algae time to recover from shipping.

- Maintain Stable Parameters:
Keep salinity stable and ensure moderate nutrient levels, including nitrates and phosphates, to support healthy growth.

- Monitor Closely:
Remove any decaying, white, or transparent pieces promptly to help prevent nutrient spikes in the tank.

Please Note:
Our macro algae is carefully cleaned and quarantined to help reduce the risk of unwanted pests or organisms. Even with strict handling procedures, we cannot guarantee that any item is entirely free of hitchhikers, spores, eggs, or other unseen organisms
