The Bi-Color Damsel is a hardy and colorful saltwater fish that can make a bold addition to a marine aquarium. Its contrasting coloration and active swimming behavior make it an eye-catching choice, especially for aquariums with rockwork and open swimming space.

As it matures, this species can become very territorial and aggressive toward tankmates, so careful planning is important when adding other fish. It is best housed with other semi-aggressive or similarly assertive species rather than timid community fish. 

In the wild, the Bi-Color Damsel feeds on small planktonic foods and algae. In the aquarium, it should be offered a varied diet that includes frozen meaty foods, quality marine flakes or pellets, and some vegetable-based foods. Good water quality and regular maintenance are important to help keep this fish healthy and reduce the risk of disease.
