Clypeaster rosaceus

The Sea Biscuit Urchin is a peaceful and unusual marine invertebrate known for its flattened, biscuit-like shape and natural sandy coloration. Found in sandy-bottom habitats throughout Florida and the Caribbean, this urchin spends much of its time moving across or slightly beneath the substrate in search of detritus, algae, and biofilm.

In the aquarium, Sea Biscuit Urchins can help keep sandy areas cleaner while adding a unique point of interest to reef or fish-only systems. They do best in mature aquariums with stable water quality, open sandy areas, and a natural food source within the substrate. Their calm nature makes them a good choice for peaceful marine setups.
