Squarespot Anthias – Male (Pseudanthias pleurotaenia)

The Male Squarespot Anthias is a bold and colorful reef fish known for its vibrant pink to orange body accented with a distinctive purple square marking along its side. Larger and more vividly colored than females, males make a striking centerpiece in spacious reef aquariums.

Active and constantly swimming, this species does best in well-established tanks with excellent filtration and plenty of open swimming space. Squarespot Anthias thrive when fed small, frequent meals and are best kept by aquarists prepared to meet their higher feeding requirements. A stunning addition to larger reef systems.
