Centropyge argi

The Pygmy Cherub Angelfish, also known as the Cherub Angelfish, is a small but bold dwarf angelfish native to the Caribbean and Western Atlantic. It is known for its deep royal blue body, bright yellow-orange facial markings, and subtle blue highlights along the fins.

Despite its small size, the Cherub Angelfish is highly active and full of personality. It will often weave through rockwork, explore caves, and graze throughout the aquarium. Its hardy nature, compact size, and vibrant coloration make it a popular choice for both reef and fish-only systems.

This species can be territorial, especially toward similar-shaped fish or other dwarf angels, so it does best with plenty of rockwork and hiding places. It is generally reef safe with caution, as some individuals may occasionally nip at coral polyps or clam mantles.

The Pygmy Cherub Angelfish should be offered a varied diet that includes marine algae, spirulina-based foods, mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, finely chopped seafood, and high-quality pellets or flakes.
